With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Elam of Morehead, Kentucky, who passed away on December 23, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Boyd C.; her husband Herb Elam; the father of her child Elwood Bumgardner; and her siblings, Luke Litton, Clyde Litton, Genoa Skaggs and Bertha Lewis.
She is survived by: her son Steve Bumgardner (Charlotte) of Morehead; her stepchildren, Mary Jo Wirth, Dr. Sandra Elam and Carl Elam; her sisters, Lois Spurlock (Bill) of Morehead and Gerri Dotson (Ray) of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Andy Bumgardner (Jacci) and Holley Jo Nester (Rob); and her great grandchildren, Kyla Bumgardner, Kenna Bumgardner, Griffin Bumgardner and Brock Nester. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
