It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Junior Thacker of Morehead, Kentucky, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Junior Thacker and Cenia Marie Slone Thacker; and his siblings, Otis Thacker, Tammy Sue Thacker, Martha Ballew and Ocie May Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie McMillan Thacker; his children, Clifford Casey Thacker of Morehead, Hama Elizabeth Thacker of Morehead and Megan Viola Thacker of Glenville; and his sisters, Donna Thacker of Pikeville, Gustia Thacker of Pikeville, Lou Ann Scott of Pikeville and Cleo Moles of North Carolina. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
