He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollie Swartz and Louise Griggs Swartz; and his brother Burton Swartz. He is survived by: his wife Jewell Kidd Swartz; his sons, Eric Swartz (Carol) of Russell Springs and Tim Swartz of Salt Lick; his stepson Gordon Johnson of Morehead; his sister Sheila Price (Don) of Mt. Sterling; and his niece Becky Everman. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
