It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Gilliam of Morehead, Kentucky, who passed away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ray Gilliam to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Green Gilliam and Cora Waddell Gilliam; his wife Jeanene Eldridge Gilliam; and his siblings, Ottis Gilliam, Hazel Smoot and Frieda Cartwright.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Barker (Jim) of Morehead, Paul Gilliam of Morehead, David Gilliam (Beverly) of Morehead and Keely Slone (Mike) of Nicholasville, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Kipp Barker (Lisa), Kim Tabor (Mike), Ashley Gilliam, Josh Day (Elizabeth), Casey Moore (Jessica), Ramsey McCoy, Bristol Snelling (Thomas), Tessa Gilliam and Reese Slone; his great grandchildren, Kellen Tabor, Reilly Barker, Michael "Cole" Moore and Eden Snelling; and his brother Mike Gilliam (Shirley) of Morehead. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family requests that everyone wears a mask, practice social distancing, and follow all COVID-19 guidelines.
