He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Howard and Mary Ava Conley Howard; and his siblings, Clifton Howard, Emil Howard and Violet Daroci.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Howard of Morehead and Mary Kay Howard Marcum (Paul) of Floyd, Indiana; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Cantrell, Chase Cantrell and Savannah Cantrell; his siblings, Emerson Howard of Morehead, Carl Howard of Morehead, Melvin Howard of Morehead, Vivian Ross of Gaylor, Florene Whitt of Morehead and Carolyn Blair of Morehead; his nieces, Dianna Whitt and Melissa Davis of Montana; and his nephew Austin Sloan. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
