She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Pennington and Alta Fraley Pennington; her husband Vernon Webster Tackett; and her siblings, Randolph, Ronnie, Glenn Pennington, Dorothy DeHart, Lurene Ison, Pearl Black, Ann Anderson, Gemina Pennington, Nadine Downing and Elizabeth Buttry.
She is survived by: her daughter Renita Jackson; her granddaughters, Amanda Ball and Alexandra Jackson; her niece Michelle Pennington Hatton; her great-nieces, Madison of Morehead and Reagan Hatton of Morehead; and her sisters, Laura Pennington of Fairborn, Ohio and Margery Griffith of Fairborn, Ohio. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
