She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil "Cub" Thompson of Farmers and Oria Smith of Hazard, Kentucky.. She is survived by: her husband Benny R. McCarty of Farmers; her children, Benny Eric McCarty (Mary McCarty) of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Beth L. Long (James E. Long) of O'Fallon, Illinois and Jessica L. McCarty-Kern (Shaughn D. Kern) of Northern California; and her grandchildren, Henry Long, Dylan Long and Savannah Kern.
