James David Nickell Obituary

He was predeceased by: his brother Russell Nickell; his son David Nickell; his parents, William "Bill" Black and Edna "Tiny" Black; and his sister Robin Black.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Pratt Nickell; his children, Amy Keadle (Mark) and James Gabriel Nickell (Lena) of Frankfort, Kentucky; his siblings, Janet Alderman of Morehead, Kentucky and William Ray Black of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Morgan Kunkle, Austin Scott, Kennedy Scott, Landon Scott, Karis Nickell and Gabriel Nickell; and his great grandchild Presley Kunkle. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northcutt & Son Home For Funerals Memorial Chapel (400 Fraley Dr, Morehead, KY 40351).
