He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Adkins and Maxine Adkins; and his siblings, John Harve Adkins, Edna Turner, Jeanette Patrick and Anna Ruth Lewis.
He is survived by: his sons, Jason Adkins (Melissa) of Morehead and Ryan Adkins of Morehead; his grandchildren, Preston "Rowdy" Adkins, Brayden "Junior" Adkins and Layne Adkins; and his sister Yvonne Henry of West Liberty. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
