He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Elijah and Nellie Tackett; and his granddaughter Abigail Tackett. He is survived by: his wife Diane Tackett; his children, Jennifer Maples (Lester), Jackie Tackett, Teresa Jefferson and Jason Tackett (Holly); his grandchildren, Nykalea Tackett, Lincoln Jefferson, Colton Maples, Savannah Jefferson, Andrew Tackett, Annalese Jefferson, Philip Tackett, Cody Maples, Tyion Alderman and Eli Tackett; and his siblings, William Donald Tackett, Phyllis Childress (Jim) and Chris Tackett (Margaret). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
