He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Plank and Eula Mae Clark Plank; his grandson Devon Gene Fultz; and his siblings, Billie Joe Plank, Naomi Sue Plank and Nancy Lambert.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Mary Jefferson Plank; his daughters, Deborah Kelly (Timothy), Donna Gean Plank (James Collins) of Morehead and Diana Lynn Russell (Benjamin); his grandchildren, Kyle O'Connor, Kayleigh O'Connor, Kori Anna O'Connor, Jonah Luke Justice and Jacob Russell; his siblings, Judy Meadows of Morehead, Sarah Jane Howard of Morehead, Jackie Plank of Morehead, Dallas Plank of Morehead, Rodney (Terry Plank) of Morehead, Nicky Plank of Morehead and Gary (Fredia Plank); and his sister-in-law Berchie Plank. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northcutt & Son Home For Funerals, Inc. (400 Fraley Dr, Morehead, KY 40351). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Adams-Plank Cemetery (Adams-Plank Cemetery Rd, Kentucky 40351).
