She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Dennis and Gertie Nola Lewis Barricks; her husband Fred E. Ward; her daughter Renee Alexander; her grandson Adam Dean Ward; her brothers, Woodrow Barricks, Plummer "Bud" Barricks and Dennis Barricks; and her close friend Kenny Sammons.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Randall Ward (Loretta) of Morehead, Flora Carter (Greg) of Waxahachie, Fred Ward (Lisa) of Tuscaloosa and Polly Jeffery (Brent) of Eufaula, Alabama; and her sister-in-law Coney Barricks of Morehead. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, including her special kitty cat "Katie," and many friends.
