Shelby Gene Higginbotham Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Gene Higginbotham of Monticello, Kentucky, who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Higginbotham and Nancy Higginbotham (Corder); his sisters, Sue Dobbs and Sylvia Hicks; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Hicks and Jerry Gregory; and his niece Laura Dobbs.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeannie Sexton (Ronald); his granddaughters, Charity Ramsey (Rhett) and Samantha Sexton (Jerret); his great grandchildren, Oakley, Truett and Alexandria; his sisters, Sandra Jo Gregory and Shirley Shelton (Sam); his brother-in-law Roger Dobbs; and his girlfriend Nancy Packer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
