She was predeceased by: her parents, Green Strong and Ruby Gabbard Strong; and her husband Mark Allen Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Jessica Renee Strong; her brothers, Tommy Strong, Merle Strong, Jack Strong and Gene Gabbard; her children, Jeremy Strong (Paige) of Booneville, KY, David Strong of Beattyville, KY. and Brooke Prather (Valerie) of Gray, KY.; her siblings, Bonnie Johnson of Corbin, KY, Phyllis Webber of North Carolina and Victor Strong of Somerset, KY.; her grandchildren, Preston Strong, Hallieann Strong and Abigail Strong; her niece Leslie Gabbard; and her close friend Steve Rose. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
