She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Whitt and Harris; her husband Ray Hartford Dotson; her son Rodney Dotson; her sister Loretta Smith; her grandson Derek Green; and her close friends, Odie and Gladys Hollars.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Dotson (Bonnie), Roger Dotson, Kenneth Ray Dotson, George Whitt, Jr. (Tammy), Barbara Wurgler and Mary Margaret Church; her siblings, Clarence Whitt of McCar, KY, George Whitt of Tompkinsville, NC, Elmer Whitt of Monticello and Daryl Blackburn (Doug) of Ransom, KY; her close friend June Upchurch; and her sisters, Byrd Bell and Sharon Edwards (Sis). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
