He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Upchurch and Ellen Upchurch; and his brother Steve Upchurch. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Upchurch; his son Marvin Allan Upchurch (Chung); his sister Ruth Wooldridge (Vernon); his grandchildren, Zachary Upchurch (Laura) and Masyn Upchurch; and his great grandchildren, Lillie Upchurch and Conner Upchurch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
