He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Hicks and Mary Hicks; and his brothers, Wilford, Ray Guffey, Robert and Eddie Hicks.

He is survived by: his daughters, Emily, Paige and Sadie; the mother of his children Janie Davis Hicks; his grandson Beck; and his siblings, Lucille Denney, Jean Clark, Marshall, Hershel, Martin, Randall and Jack Hicks. He is also survived by 90 nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends and family.
