He was predeceased by: his father Edgar "Carl" Burnette. He is survived by: his mother Nellie Louise Burnette (Slaven); his wife Peggy Burnette (Jones); his children, Jeremy Burnette (Rebecca), Melissa Piercy, Nicole Burnette (Brian Scott) and Jason Foster; his grandchildren, Ethan and Desirae Burnette; his children, Madelynne Piercy, Nathaniel, Noah and Allison Grace Scott; and his siblings, Glenn Burnett (Phyllis), Ronnie Lee Burnette, Jean Gregory (Toby), Carlene Slaven (Gary) and Rhonda Renee Decker (Rabion).
