He is survived by: his wife Ivory Hardwick Adkins; his children, Carolyn (Billy Dobbs), James Adkins and Billy (Sue Adkins); his grandchildren, Jimmy, Jason Adkins, Martha Upchurch, JaQuilla Daniels, Jaclyn Turner, Pricilla Minerd, Caleb Dobbs and Hannah Ryan; and his siblings, Rosa, Nova Tinch, Kenneth, Mack and Kermit Adkins.
