He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay Smith and Tina McIntosh Smith; his son Kenneth Ray Smith; and his siblings, Donna Carol Smith, Virginia Smith and Everett Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Tirey Smith; his daughters, Kathy Smith Drake (Richard) and Brenda Smith Lucas (Phillip); and his siblings, Heneritta Long, Mary Lou Angel, Frances Kincaid and Ronald Lee Smith. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
