She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Sr. Davis and Mildred Davis; her son Lewis A. Brooks III; her stepdaughter Wanda Taylor; and her siblings, Elnora Russell, Roy, Lamar, Wade, Clifton Jr. (Jake) and Manuel Davis.
She is survived by: her aunt Lucille; her uncle Muffin; her children, Jackie Brooks, Cynthia Burdette, Ralph Taylor, Wyetta Brooks McCowan, Toya Tichenor (Keith) and Felix Taylor (Caroline); her stepchildren, Roscoe Taylor (Sheila) and Gladys Taylor; her sisters, Victoria Davis, Lucinda Davis and Wah Wah Rideau (Calvin); her sister-in-law Christine Davis; her cousins, Alberta Branham, Yvonne Carden (Bud), Garner Kennedy and Al Kennedy; and her extended family, William Brooks, Vance Brooks, Prissy Carter and Gayl Jones. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First African Baptist Church (465 Price Rd, Lexington, KY 40508). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
