With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Oscar Lee Pettyjohn Jr. of Midway, Kentucky, born in Liberty, Kentucky, who passed away on October 10, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lee and Mamie Howard Pettyjohn, Sr.; his granddaughter Isabella Barber; and his siblings, Ina Pettyjohn, Helen Pettyjohn, Alma Pettyjohn, Mildred Pettyjohn, Leon Pettyjohn, Hugh Pettyjohn, Dee Pettyjohn and Donald Pettyjohn.

He is survived by: his wife Josephine Oliver Pettyjohn; his children, Richard Allen Coy (Linda), Suffolk Virginia, Vernon Coy, III, Laura Wilson (Marshall), Marcia Yochem (Todd) and Stephanie Jo Angel (Charles); his sister Inez Woodrum; and his grandchildren, Jessica Winters, LeAnne Mullins, Marshall Wilson, Carrie Randolph and Josh Angel. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
