He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Shoemaker and Levina Shoemaker (Pace); and his brother Bill Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Shoemaker (Bryant); his children, Lynn Todd (Barry), Vickie Oliver (Kelly) and Jan (Phillip); his grandchildren, John Barrett Todd (Jillian), Rachel Hardesty (Brad), Tyler Todd (Hannah), Robert Oliver (Molly), Joshua Herring (Jennifer), Christopher Herring (Hannah) and Samuel Herring; and his great grandchildren, Sadie Stroderd, Lyla Hardesty, Amelia Hardesty, Piper Oliver, Tillie Oliver, Eden Todd, Sutton Oliver and Henry Todd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
