He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Chilton and Margaret Jackson Chilton; his son William Preston Chilton; and his siblings, Dorothy Beverley, Mabel Frances Griffith, Paul Randolph Chilton, Billy Chilton and Owen Dalton Chilton.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Hatchett Chilton; his children, Douglas C. Chilton (Christy) of Lawrenceburg, Troy S. Chilton (Heather) of Lawrenceburg, Cindy Longhorn (George), James Chilton of Mt. Washington, Laurie Ann Clark (Robert) of Shelbyville and Angela Chilton Watkins of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Alex Chilton, Elisabeth Chilton and Jackson Riley Chilton; and his great grandchild Evie Tate Wyatt. He is also survived by several other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky all persons attending a visitation or funeral (public or private) will be required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
