Though Susan has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Smith and Lorene Smith; and her brother Ronnie Allen Smith. She is survived by: her husband Harmon Howard; her daughter Kacy Capps (Nick) of Middlesboro; her grandchildren, Amelia Elizabeth Capps and Liam Chase Capps; and her sisters, Jaquetta Ayers (Lemuel) of Harrogate and Janice McKinney (Randall) of Cumberland Gap. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, her church family, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens (1805 State Hwy 441, Middlesboro, KY 40965).
