He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbin H. Melton and Edythe Melton; his siblings, Nancy Smith and Sam Melton; and his friend Robert H (P. E.).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Jim (Malinda), Sara and Linda; his grandchildren, Erin (Patrick), Jacob, Emma, Elizabeth, Will and Eli; his great grandchild Evan; his goddaughter Lydah DeBin (Joe); and his brother Hank (Margaret). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
