He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Smith and Betty Jean "Casey" Smith; his son Randall Ray Smith; and his siblings, Ricky Dean, Danny Ray Smith and Della Rhea Smith.

He is survived by: his son Jamie Wolford (Shelby) of Nashville, TN; his brother Jerry Lee Smith (Dixie) of Jonesborough, TN; his grandchildren, Carson and Grace Wolford of Nashville, TN; and his nephews, Jerry Christopher Smith and Michael Patrick Smith (Janette). He is also survived by his family and friends.
