She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Smith and Mayola Carmack Smith; her sons, J. L. Smiddy and Carl Smiddy; and her siblings, Bill Smith, Harvey Smith, Gene Smith and Audie Copenhagen.

She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Smiddy; and her siblings, Danny Ray Smith, Ballard Smith, Gladys Owens (Don), Reda Jackson (Billy Ray) and Linda Sue Johnston (Eddie).
