Gary Mayes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Mayes of Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Sterling; his son Joseph Steven Mayes; and his brother Leon Mayes. He is survived by: his children, Gary Mayes II, Caroline Cooper (Michael) and Mathew Mayes (Brandi); his siblings, Neville Morgan (George), Tom Mayes, Roger Mayes (Debbie), Mitchell Mayes (Kathy), Sam Mayes (Missy) and Cheryl Dooley (Larry); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Mayes. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his brothers.
