It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Leah (Tootie) Rowland Gordon in Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Basil Rowland and Flossie Rowland; her husband Clayton Gordon; her daughter Janice Johnson; her granddaughter Monica Seals; her aunt Helena; and her uncle Jessie Atkins.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Moyers of Middlesboro, KY and Gary Gordon (Becky) of New Tazewell, TN; her son-in-law Sid Johnson; her grandchildren, Freddy Dixon (Julie), Summer Hughett (Justin), Elizabeth Smallwood (Wes) and Alison Sabo (Andrew); her stepgrandson Derek Drummonds (Mandy); her great grandchildren, Hayden, Aubree, Tucker Hughett, Jade Smallwood, Colton Smallwood, Kassidy Hoskins (Cody), Eli Smallwood, Paxton and Tenley Drummonds; her great great grandchildren, Lydia, Serenity and Oliver; her great grandchildren, Emma, Zachary and Violet; and her close friends, Stella Robbins, Eilene Rains and Wanda Williams.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (705 S Petersborough Ave, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens (1805 State Hwy 441, Middlesboro, KY 40965).
