He was predeceased by: his mother Joan Yeary; his uncles, Rick Sampson, Carl Shackelford (Miss Judy) and Bobby Moore (Paul Collins); and his grandfather Bill Jones.
He is survived by: his father Joel Wilson (Lasley); his grandchildren, Dallas Shackelford, Joe, Wilma Hensley and Billy Gordon; his wife Brittani Wilson; his children, Lyndi Elkinton-Wilson and Devin Hill; his nephew Michael "Mikey" Hensley; his siblings, Michael Hensley and Donna Myte; his aunt Frankie Ayers; and his brother Jay Hopper. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
