He was predeceased by: his father Albert McBee; his wife Mary Lou Leach McBee; his siblings, Pat McBee, Bill McBee, Robert McBee (Lucy), Pink McBee, Annie Moore (Junior), Edith Ashbury, Georgie Jesse (Wade) and Hazel McBee; and his brother-in-law Walter Raines.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly McBee (Lora) of Lancaster, KY and Christy Bean (Michael) of Middlesboro, KY.; and also Bill Bothof.
