Brenda Sue Sweat Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2025, at the age of 73, Brenda Sue Sweat of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert McMurray and Hester Hensley McMurray Young; her husband Raymond Sweat; her brothers, James McMurray and Eddie McMurray; her daughters, Wilma Jean Sweat and Tammy Ray Angela Sweat; her grandsons, Ronald Lee Minton and Daniel Christopher Minton; and her son-in-law James Ronald Minton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Minton, Suzan Minton (Daniel), Michelle Minton (Wendell), Cassandra Partin (Matt) and Desiree Sweat; her sisters, Dorothy Cavins and Nancy McMurray; her grandchildren, Jay Ray Minton, Marcia Cody (Travis), Mark Minton (Kayla), Danielle Carter (Christian), Christopher Minton (Jordyn), Siara Minton and Kelsey Bortz (Jeremy); and her great grandchildren, Josh Cody, Emily Griffith, Kaylee Griffith, Jayleigh Minton, Maddyn Patterson, Landyn Carter, Jensen Carter, Madison Minton, Finnleigh Carter, Alaina and Nevaeh Couch. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Cawood Funeral Home (112 S 21st St, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oakview Cemetery.
