He was predeceased by: his parents, John Short and Gracie Blair Short. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean Short; his children, Tammy Young (Bernie) and Bobby Joe Short; his grandchildren, Tiffany Brock (Dominic Lester) of Middlesboro, Kentucky and David Brock of Beckley; and his great grandchildren, Shelby Buckley, Brodie North and Elijah North. He is also survived by his family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
