With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bertha Settles Dameron of Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on November 27, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Kerny Collins and Sadie Ellison Young; her son Tony Settles; her stepsons, David Settles, Elmer Settles and Ronnie Dameron; and her husband Dan Settles.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Settles (Vicky), Susie Horton, Debbie Barnett, Sandy Marcum and Marie Willis; her stepdaughter Mary Smith; her sisters, Mary Allen, Sadie Spradlin and Liz Morgan; and her grandchildren, Carrie Pack, Annie Settles, Joe Settles, Angela Vanover, Tim Barnett, Tabitha Barnett, Adam Marcum, Jason Marcum, Karla Hubbard, Nettie Goodin, Danielle Goodin, Rebecca Boggs, Little Toni Settles and Sharon Dameron. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at the Settles Cemetery.
