He is survived by: his son Dalton Short (Dallas); his siblings, Hank Short, Verita Short and Connie Gibson (Gerald Gibson); the mother of his child Julie; and his nieces and nephews, B. J. Short, Aaron Short, Matthew Short, Clint Shoffner, Ryan Gibson, Josh King, Jessica Cupp and Sarah Hamlett. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
