He is survived by: his children, Brian Petty (Erin) of Virginia, Ellen Roberts of Virginia and Noreen Gannon (Robert) of Virginia; his siblings, Edgar Petty (Elsie) of Virginia, Ethel Bohin of Maryland and Evelyn Jones (Clif) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Jonathan Gannon of Virginia, Charlie Gannon of Virginia, Alexandra Petty of Virginia and Carson Petty of Virginia; and his close friend Paula Godbey.
