He was predeceased by: his father William Petty; his former spouse Jerlydine Tackett Petty; his daughter Jessica Blankenship; and his siblings, Rogena Petty and Jauanette Fields.
He is survived by: his fiancée Judy Blankenship; his grandchildren, Easton, Emberleigh, Bryan, Tyler, Haley and Ashley; and his brothers, Wade Petty and Marion Petty.
