It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Allen Tackett of Melvin, Kentucky, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Victor Leland; his son Glenn Edward Tackett; and his sister Esta Pearl Morin. He is survived by: his children, Allen Keith Tackett of Virgie, William Leland Tackett of Pikeville, Stephen Ira Tackett (Bea) of Melvin and Dena Marie Hart (Robert) of Weeksbury; and his brothers, Victor Eugene Tackett of Winchester Canal, OH, Virgil Lee Tackett of Weeksbury, Donald Keith Tackett of Versailles and Larry Dean Tackett of Melvin. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
