It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobby Gene Tackett of Melvin, Kentucky, who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Duran Tackett and Emma Tackett; his wife Gladys Tackett; and his siblings, Homer Tackett, Lonnie Tackett, Helen Tackett, Mabel McCown and Loraine Brown.

He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Tackett (Denice) of Melvin and Melissa Tackett of Melvin; his siblings, Herbert Tackett of Michigan, Faye Vance of Indiana, Carol Taylor of Michgan and Linda Dennis of Indiana; his grandchildren, Jody Tackett, Hannah Scott, Ashley Thomas and Mashaya Tackett; and his great grandchildren, Kylen Tackett, Emma Scott, Oliver Tackett and Hunter Scott.
