He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Howard and Mary Otten Nealis; his wife Brenda Howard; and his sister Jackie Cole. He is survived by: his stepson Jay Hardin, Jr.; his sisters, Mary Fitch (Glen) and Connie Wheat (Chris); his nephew Matthew Carpenter; and his great-nephew Mason Carpenter.
