She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Johnson Jr. and Margaret Johnson (Rucker); and her brother Michael Wayne Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Sowards (Nicole) and Christopher Sowards (Layla); her grandchildren, Emmeline and Ellis; and her sisters, Sharon Powell (Jerry), Lynne Polly (Bruce) and Lisa Johnson Moore.
