He was predeceased by: his father Carl Gene Berry; and his stepfather James E. Pittman. He is survived by: his mother Brenda Privette Pittman of McKinney; his wife Bertheda Patterson Berry; his sons, Devin Berry of Texas, Daniel Berry (Jasmine) of Texas and Jonathan Atwood (Susan) of Moreland; his sister Carla Vanhook of McKinney; his grandchildren, Daniel Berry, Jr., Jaylee Berry and Dianna Quinton; his nephews, Joe Vanhook (Tori) of Danville and Andrew VanHook (Megan) of Lancaster; and his niece Karlie Robinson (Billy) of Burgin.
