He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tompkins and Imogene Smith Tompkins of McKee, Kentucky.; his mother-in-law Shirley Warner; and his brother-in-law John Warner. He is survived by: his wife Sue Warner Tompkins; his children, Ramey Jack Tompkins of Berea, Kristy Fortney (Wendell) of Waco, Candy Hampton (John) of London and Cassie Bowling of Beattyville; his stepchildren, Denise Ballard (Mike) of Richmond and Ronnie Rice Jr. (Lisa) of Berea; and his siblings, Brenda Hays (Dennis) of McKee, Jenny Lovins (Jim) of Berea, Benny Tompkins (Carolyn) of Lexington, Roger Tompkins of Berea and John Tompkins of McKee, Kentucky.. He is also survived by Several grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
