He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Shelton and Mary McSurley Shelton; his son Terry Eugene Shelton (Brenda); and his siblings, Estill Shelton, Chester Shelton, Eddie Shelton, Raymond Shelton, Jay Shelton, Fred Shelton, Goldie Miller, Bertha Meade and Pauline Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Tackett Shelton; his children, Allen F. Shelton (late Ruthie) of Martin, Kentucky and Carol Moore Wells (Brian) of Emma, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Tiffany Burke (late Stoney), Nathan Shelton (Amanda), Austin Shelton (Lisa), Terri Maclean (Neal), Blake Wells and Claire Wells; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Burke, Aubree Shelton, Blaze Shelton, Michaila Maclean, Allen Maclean and Along.
