It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clark Shelton of McDowell, Kentucky, born in Drift, Kentucky, who passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Shelton and Nellie Martin Shelton; his daughter Amy Elizabeth Shelton Amburgey; and his siblings, Cecil, Russell Shelton, Alberta Shannon and Emogene Jones.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith Shelton of Florence, KY, Stephen J. Hicks of Langley, KY and Kevin M. Shelton of McDowell, KY; his siblings, Teddy Shelton of McDowell, KY, Bobby Ray Shelton of Elkhart, IN, Pat Shelton of Versailles, KY, Georgia Faye Kidd of Drift, KY, Bernadine Schrader of Auxier, KY, Diana Price of Drift, KY, Mary Combs of McDowell, KY and Teresa Harris of Drift, KY; and his grandchildren, Selton Matthew Hicks, Katelin Shelton, Sophia Shelton, Mickey Taylor and Coy Taylor.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Drift Pentecostal Church or to the Drift Cemetery under care of the Drift Pentecostal Church.
