He was predeceased by: his wife Nedra Turner Slone; his parents, Selton Slone and Ida Mae Crager Slone; and his siblings, Ricky Green (Becky) and Patsy Caudill (Jack).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Margaret Slone of McDowell, KY and Lenville Dale Slone (Caren) of McDowell, KY; his siblings, Mickey Ray Slone of McDowell, KY and Vickie Kay Sizemore of McDowell, KY; his sister-in-law Rhonda Meade of McDowell, KY; and his grandchildren, Blade and Sage Slone. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and his church family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at the Drift Pentecostal Church (471 KY Route 1101, Drift, KY 41619). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Lucy Hall Cemetery.
