It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandy Olema Simmons (Maysville, Kentucky), who passed away on May 29, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Fryman and Edith Powell Fryman; her husband Raymond Simmons, Sr.; her grandsons, Carl Ray Lucas and Shawn Metcalf; and her siblings, Ricky Fryman, Frankie Fryman, Terry Fryman, Alma Fryman and Wanda Fryman.
She is survived by: her children, Gusti Simmons (Tim) of Mays Lick, Agnes Hughes (Rusty) of Maysville, Martha "Mert" Holmes of Maysville, Lonnie Elliott (Missy) of Maysville and Brent Simmons (Marissa) of Maysville; her grandchildren, Brad Simmons (Jessica), Terri Whisman (BJ), James Hughes (Sarah), Timothy Hughes (Miranda), Ashley Bluford (Guy), Justin Metcalf, Aaron Metcalf (Marissa), Andrew Metcalf (Sara), JT "Boog" Holmes (Khristian), Kaitlin Scott (Dillon), Harley Evans (Garrett), Brianna Eakes (Noah), Taylor Elliott and Elliott Simmons; and her siblings, Shirley Mullikin, Jean Kilgore, Ruby Hayslip, Paulette Elliott (David), Debbie Elliott (Donnie), Susie Staggs (Cecil), Timmy Fryman (Janet) and Mike Fryman (Stephanie). She is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
