He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence East and Dorothy Schaeffer East; and his siblings, Ruth, Ralph and Gene East.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Sustello East; his children, Lisa Kay (Jason) and Roy East, Jr. (Tawnya); his grandchildren, Natasha Kay, Devin Blankenburg (Daniel), Conner East (Savannah), Sydney Bricking (Beau) and Riley Robinson (Dalton); and his great grandchildren, Millie Layne and Leo.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (621 Parker Rd, Maysville, KY 41056).

Memorials in Roy's memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
