He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thompson and Virginia Mae Presley Thompson; his brother Gurney Thompson; and his nephews, Thomas Edward Riggs and Christopher Thompson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Thompson of Florida, Jerry Thompson (Angie), William Thompson, Wilma Morgan, Judy French (Allen) and Peggy Rose; and his close friend Ben Breslin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Brell & Son Funeral Home (620 E 2nd St, Maysville, KY 41056). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
